[이탈리아] 이탈리아 인턴 비자 신청하기 (주런던 이탈리아 대사관)

현재 나는 영국에서 대학교 학사를 졸업하고 졸업 후 비자를 받아 영국에 체류 중이다.

그러는 와중 이탈리아에 있는 디자인 스튜디오에서 오퍼를 받아 이탈리아 인턴 비자를 신청하게 되었다.

프로세스는

 

1. 계약서 서명 후 회사에서 먼저 인턴 프로그램 서류를 국가기관에 승인을 받아 전달 (2달)
2. 비자 어포인먼트 신청 및 방문 (3~4주)
3. 여권 수령 (2~3주)

이런 식으로 이뤄졌다.

 

계약서에 싸인하는 것 부터 시작해서 모든 것들을 나 혼자 진행하게 되었고

비자 어포인먼트를 신청하거나 그에 대한 문서 준비도 내가 알아서 하게 되었다.

 

나의 경우 합법적인 비자를 가지고 있는 영국과 내 국적인 한국, 두 곳에서 비자 신청을 할 수 있었는데

영국에 계속 거주하고 있기도 했고 영국에서 신청하게 된다면 영국 대학교에 대한 학위 공증이 필요 없을 것이라 생각해서 굳이 한국에서 신청하지 않았다.

그래서 주 런던 이탈리아 대사관을 통해 비자를 신청하게 되었다.

(영국에서는 런던만 관광비자가 아닌 노동비자나 학업비자를 받는 것 같다)

 

 

비자 어포인먼트에 필요한 서류는 다음과 같다.

 

 

1) 작성된 지원서 (90일 이상 장기 체류용) (Long term application form)

 

주런던 대사관 웹사이트에서 다운 받아서 작성하면 된다.

작성은 첫번째를 프린트해서 하되 애매한 게 있다면 주한 이탈리아 대사관에서 받을 수 있는 지원서를 참고해서 작성하면 된다. 한국어로 설명이 되어 있기 때문에 어렵지 않을 듯.

나의 경우 애매한 부분에 대해서 회사 HR팀에 문의해서 다 작성했다.

 

2) 3개월 이상 유효한 여권 Valid passport or travel document (original plus photocopy), valid at least 3 months beyond the return date of your trip from Italy and at least with two blank pages for

Schengen/Short-term visa. Valid passport or travel document (original plus photocopy), valid for at least 3 months and with at least two blank pages for National/Long term visa. The passport will be kept and returned with the visa if approved;

 

3) 3개월 이상 유효한 영국 BRP 카드

Valid UK Residence Permit (original plus photocopy), valid at least 3 months beyond the return date of your trip in Italy for

 

4) 6개월 이내에 촬영된 여권 사진

Passport-style photo, full front and white background and not older than 6 months;

 

5) 커버레터

Cover letter;

커버레터의 경우에도 어떻게 작성해야하나 싶어서

구글링을 많이 해본결과 그냥 대충 폼에 맞게 작성하면 된다.

 

 

6) 인턴쉽 프로그램 서류

Documentation concerning the internship program: Internship programs are organized by authorized entities (as per Art. 2 paragraph 1 of Decree of Ministry of Labor and Welfare N. 142 dated 03.25.1998) and are implemented according to a specific agreement between the promoting institution and the hosting employer. The visa can be requested by presenting a formal internship project (as per Art. 18 of Law N. 196/97 and Art. 4 of the D.M. N. 142/98) duly stamped by the competent Italian Region;

 

인턴쉽 프로그램 서류는 대략 이런식으로 시작하고 문서 자체는 8~11페이지 정도된다.

이탈리아어라서 정확히는 모르지만 인턴쉽 프로그램이 누구에 의해 어떻게 진행되는지에 대한

내용이 적혀져 있다. 원본을 받게되면 인턴쉽 프로그램 서류를 신청하기 위해 회사에서 준비했던 서류들도

함께 있어서 꽤나 양이 많다.

 

 

7) 모국에서의 학업 증명서

Transcript of previous studies in the applicant’s home country;

 

 

모국에서의 학업 증명서는 나는 대학교를 영국에서 나왔음에도 불구하고 그에 대한 서류는 요구되지 않고 모국에서의 학업, 즉 고등학교 졸업증명서 및 성적증명서만 필요하다는 것은 말이 되지 않는다고 생각해 영국 대학교의 성적증명서 및 졸업 증명서도 함께 제출했다.

 

8) 편도 항공권 (90일 이상 장기 체류비자일 시)

Round-trip travel ticket reservation for short-term Schengen Visa shorter than 90 days. One way travel tickets reservation for long-term National visa longer than 90 days. Please note:

1. If travelling by plane, train or bus the ticket must be printed directly from the airline/train line/bus operator, showing passenger’s name, dates, from/to, paid price.
2. If travelling by car, ferry tickets or Eurotunnel tickets are required, alongside with car registration (original plus photocopy) car insurance (original plus photocopy) and driving licence If renting a car, the same documentation is required plus the car rental documents;
3. if travelling to multiple Schengen countries, travel tickets between each country is mandatory.
4. If using third parties services, such as travel agencies, note that they will be accepted only if based in the UK or in one of the Schengen countries. Travel tickets must always be issued from the airline/trainline/bus operator themselves and any other paper will not be taken into account. This applies to letter a), b), c);

9) 숙소 예약증명서 (90일 이상 장기 체류비자일 시 최소 15일 숙박 예약증명)

Proof of accommodation: hotel reservation that covers the entire period of staying for trips shorter than 90 days; rental agreement or at least 15/30 days of hotel reservation for training programs longer than 90 days. In case the applicant is staying with friends/family, a letter of invitation is required [for a template click here] along with the host’s ID (valid permit of stay for non-European Union citizens) where the signature of the holder appears;

 

10) 여행자보험 (90일 이상 장기 체류비자일 시 최소 2주의 보험)

Travel insurance, which must be issued in UK or in one of the Schengen countries, including every Schengen country covering the entire period of staying in Italy for trips shorter than 90 days or at least the first 2 weeks of period of staying in Italy for trips longer than 90 days. Health insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 for emergency hospital and repatriation expenses. If your current insurance company does not provide such coverage, you are requested to find an international insurance. A special insurance policy for student with INA ASSITALIA is available through Universities upon arrival in Italy. If the insurance cover is not specified in the acceptance letter from the Italian university, a declaration in a form of “affidavit” (self-declaration) is required;

 

 

나는 AXA의 30,000유로까지 커버해주는 여행자 보험을 도착일로부터 15일 가량 들어놨다.

이것과 더불어 도착일 15일 내에 현지 보험을 들겠다는 서약서도 함께 제출했다.

 

 

 

11) 3개월 간의 영국 은행 명세서 원본과 출생증명서

Proof of financial means of support in Italy as per Ministry of Interior Directive 1.3.2000. The availability can be proven through: personal last 3 months’ UK bank statements OR parents last 3 months’ bank statement alongside with original and 1 copy of birth certificate (if issued outside the UK, it must be duly translated into English and certified either by the Embassy/High Commission/Consulate in London of the country that issued the certificate or translated into Italian and certified by the Italian Consulate in the country of issue). Please, note:

 

 출생증명서는 보통 한국에서의 기본 증명서를 의미한다. (출생지, 출생년도등이 기입되어 있는) 기본 증명서는 오직 한국어로만 발급이 가능하여 영어번역 및 번역 공증을 업체에 맡겼고 그 서류를 가지고 외교부에 아포스티유를 신청하러 직접 갔었다. (업체에 맡길 수도 있지만 아포스티유를 직접 신청하면 천원밖에 들지 않고 당일 30분내로 받을 수 있다)

 은행 명세서의 경우 나는 몬조(온라인 뱅크)를 주 거래로 사용 중이라 오프라인 점포가 아예 없기 때문에 도장이나 싸인이 담겨있는 원본 은행 명세서를 받기 위해서는 어플이나 이메일을 통해 요청해야돼서 어포인먼트 3주 전에 영국 주소로 신청을 해놨었다. 하지만 제 기간 내에 도착하지 않았고 차선책으로 바로 다운받아 프린트할 수 있는 PDF 은행명세서를 프린트했다. 나는 이것 때문에 마지막까지 엄청난 고민에 휩싸였었다.

 

아무튼 1년 넘게 한국을 들어가지 않았어서 이 참에 한국에 들어가 필요 서류를 준비했다. 

 

그렇게 준비된 서류들을 가지고 어포인먼트를 갔다.

주런던 이탈리아 대사관에 Long term visa 어포인먼트는 오전 8시30분, 9시 00분, 9시 30분 이렇게 타임슬롯이 세개 뿐이었으며 다른 지역에 거주하는 나로써는 런던에서 1박을 무조건 해야하는 시간만 가능했다.

그마저도 원본 은행명세서가 없어서 기존의 날짜를 연기하려고 했으나 아예 슬롯이 다 사라져서 예약이 불가능한 상황이었다. 그래서 혹시나 예약하려고 VFS 웹사이트에 들어갔는데 예약할 수 있는 날짜및 시간이 아예 없다면 매일 들어가 예약이 가능한지 확인해봐야한다...

 

아무튼 서류검사 중 내가 꽤 많이 고민하고 신경썼던 기본증명서 (Birth certificate)가 필요 없다며 서류더미에서 뺐다.

그럴거면 왜 번역에 공증맡기고 아포스티유를 맡겼는지 모르겠지만.. 아무튼 필요 없었고 인턴 프로그램 서류도 사본만 제출되고 원본은 돌려줬다.

 

런던 VFS 이탈리아 비자 센터

신청 할 당시 인턴쉽 비자는 아무래도 3~4주 걸릴 거라고 이야기했으나 2주만에 비자가 나왔다고 이메일로 연락이 왔다.

그렇게 인턴 시작 한달 전에 안전하게 비자 서류처리는 마무리 되었다.

 

걱정에도 불구하고 원본 은행 명세서는 필요 없었고 기본 증명서도 필요가 없었다. 아마도 직원마다도 다를것이고 내가 혹시 모르기때문에 모든 것들을 준비해야한다는 생각을 가지고 준비했기 때문에 몇가지 실제 제출에 필요하지 않았던 것들도 있었던 것 같다.
